Marlins Super Saturday is Where You Wanna Be on August 1 for a post-game
performance featuring The Village People. First pitch versus the Chicago
Cubs is set for 7:10 p.m. at Land Shark Stadium (2267 NW 199 Street,
Miami Gardens, 33056). The first 15,000 fans will get a Marlins Rally

The Village People are a six member group known for their classic disco
songs, such as "YMCA" and "In the Navy." The legendary group has been
around for three decades, and has won many awards, including the
American Music Award-Favorite Musical Group 1979, AGVA's Georgie Award
and West Germany's Gold Lion Award for music excellence. Currently, The
Village People continue to tour worldwide and received a star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008.
Each of the Florida Marlins' 13 Saturday home games this year are
designated as a "Super Saturday." The highlight of each "Super
Saturday" will be a post-game concert featuring internationally
acclaimed recording artists following a fireworks spectacular. The
concert and fireworks are free with each ticket purchased for the
Marlins game. Super Saturdays also feature pre-game parties at The
Strike Zone at Gate H with player and celebrity autograph sessions,
Billy The Marlin, the Mermaids, the Manatees, DJ M-Dot, and live
TV/radio broadcasts. The Marlins will also be awarding one lucky fan
with up to $2,500 toward his/her mortgage or rent payment with the

Marlins Super Saturday is Where You Wanna Be on August 15 for a
post-game performance featuring Steven Curtis Chapman. First pitch
versus the Colorado Rockies is set for 6:10 p.m. at Land Shark Stadium
(2267 NW 199 Street, Miami Gardens, 33056). The first 15,000 fans will
